How We Bill

Nurse Practitioners (NPs) do not bill OHIP. Standard hourly rates are charged based on the work completed for your healthcare needs. Time is billed to the nearest 10 minutes.

Short Consult (10 minutes)

1 specific question/issue (includes assessment, diagnostics, and prescription if required).

Complex Consult (20 minutes)

$80.00
A complex health/wellness conversation (includes assessment, diagnostics, prescription and referrals if required).

Things We Don’t Do

Certain medical conditions require immediate in-person care. If you experience any of the following, please seek emergency medical attention at your nearest hospital.

Requests or Refills for Controlled Substances

Medications requiring special handling and oversight.

Severe & Acute Conditions

  • Acute/severe abdominal pain
  • Life or limb-threatening conditions
  • Acute chest pain
  • Severe shortness of breath
  • Extreme lethargy
  • Severe headache
  • New difficulty breathing

Neurological Issues

  • Stroke symptoms (slurred speech, weakness)
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Sudden vision decline
  • Acute paralysis or progressive motor loss

Infant-Related Concerns

  • Infants under 2 years
  • Fever for more than 3 days

Diabetes & Blood Sugar Issues

Severe & persistent high blood sugar (>20 mmol/L) with symptoms like extreme thirst, fatigue, or dizziness.

Severe Stomach Issues

Severe abdominal pain with nausea/vomiting.
